We are one of the few universities in the UK that offer September and January start dates for almost all of our courses.
- Based in Buckingham on a riverside campus, we are only 20 minutes’ from Milton Keynes central station and a short drive from Bicester, Aylesbury, Banbury and Northampton. There is free parking on-site and we are within easy reach of London and Oxford.
- Our award-winning small class tutorials ensure every student is known by name and supported throughout their studies, including by dedicated personal tutors.
- As pioneers of the two-year degree, we offer a condensed version of the traditional three-year degree, meaning you can gain a full honours degree and complete your studies a whole year earlier. Alternatively, you can complete both your undergraduate and master’s degree with us in just three years: saving you time and money.
Assessment method
The Money, Banking and Central Banking programme is taught by leading monetary and banking academics and market practitioners. Amongst other members of the staff, students will benefit from having Professors Geoffrey Wood and Tim Congdon and Brandon Davies as members of the teaching team, each with a recognised career in this field and with experience in providing consultancy and expert advice at the highest governmental policy level in the UK and abroad. In addition, students will benefit from having access to guest lectures/webinars by international experts in the field. The teaching of the programme will be fully online. Each subject will be covered by video or audio lectures specifically designed for each module. In addition, there will be online weekly tutorials via Microsoft Teams, where the students will discuss the topics of each week and go through case-studies and real-life examples on the topics addressed in the lectures. These sessions are key to maintaining regular communication and interaction with our students. Additional online tutorials will be available as required to provide detailed feedback from module tutors. Assessment will be entirely made by the submission of coursework to our Virtual Learning Platform. A list of topics will be offered to the students at the start of term on each course. The final mark in the course will be given by the drafting of the proposal (20%) and the essay at the end of term (80%). There will be no final examination.
