Product Innovation is a future-focused course designed for creative thinkers who want to shape the products, systems and experiences of tomorrow. You’ll explore the full design journey, from idea generation and prototyping to testing, refinement and final output, while working across a range of design disciplines. As part of our professionally focused Design suite, you’ll benefit from industry-standard facilities, technical support, and a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach modelled on contemporary design practice. Throughout your studies, you’ll be encouraged to experiment, explore emerging design methodologies, and push creative boundaries to transform ideas into meaningful solutions. You’ll work on hands-on projects across multiple typologies, gaining a strong foundation in both creative and technical design. From materials testing and manufacturing processes to concept development and user-focused design thinking, the course helps you build a versatile, future-ready portfolio tailored to your interests and career ambitions. Qualification requirements

Merit in UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma. Merit in RSL Level 3 Extended Diploma. Pass in Diploma Foundation Studies in Art and Design combined with A Level or BTEC qualifications, to total an equivalent of 120-104 UCAS tariff points.

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
