Course summary
Become a Nurse in just two years on this fast track, graduate entry programme designed for graduates from any degree. Upon completion, you’ll be able to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Nurse (Adult). You’ll by taught by experts, joining a community ranked 3rd in the UK for Nursing (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024). You’ll learn in our new and state-of-the-art facilities, and in the real world on practice placements in varied settings and roles. You’ll develop the expertise needed to transform the health and wellbeing of adults, learning to make complex decisions, evaluate practice, coordinate care, and advocate for your patients' needs. If you are already a qualified Nurse, this course can also help you if you want a second field of registration.

Assessment method
At Southampton, assessments are designed to equip you with the skills you need for success in your career. On this course, your theoretical skills will be assessed through essays, examinations, projects, professional conversations, and a dissertation. Your practical skills will be assessed whilst you are on placement and recorded by your practice mentor.
Entry requirements
UK 2.2 Hons degree or above or an equivalent standard in other qualifications approved by the University as well as GCSE English language, science and maths 4-9 or A*-C. You will be required to successfully complete a Recognition of Prior Learning as a condition of entry to the programme. Submit: 325 hours of relevant theoretical learning from your first degree or employment and 675 hours of practice worked in a healthcare environment under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional Subject to satisfactory health and DBS checks English language: band D, IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and 7.0 in all other components
