"Become a Nurse, or expand your practice, and change patients' lives. This two year master’s is designed for graduates and career changers who want to become a registered Nurse. It's also ideal if you’re already a qualified Nurse and want a second field of registration. You'll learn to provide world-leading* care and support for adults, working across a range of healthcare settings. You'll graduate able to make complex decisions, evaluate practice, coordinate care, and advocate for your patients' needs. You will enhance your studies through a varied range of practical experience during placements to help you develop into the role of a nursing professional. Assessment method
At Southampton, assessments are designed to equip you with the skills you need for success in your career. On this course, your theoretical skills will be assessed through essays, examinations, projects, professional conversations, and a dissertation. Your practical skills will be assessed whilst you are on placement and recorded by your practice mentor.
Entry requirements
UK 2.2 Hons degree or above or an equivalent standard in other qualifications approved by the University as well as GCSE English language, science and maths 4-9 or A*-C. You will be required to successfully complete a Recognition of Prior Learning as a condition of entry to the programme. Submit: 325 hours of relevant theoretical learning from your first degree or employment and 675 hours of practice worked in a healthcare environment under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional Subject to satisfactory health and DBS checks English language: band D, IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in writing and 7.0 in all other components
