Course summary

Do you want to progress in your construction career? Are you looking to take a lead on the organisation and delivery of large-scale construction projects? Our MSc Construction Project Management programme is underpinned by a focus on acquiring the knowledge and skills essential to operate in a middle to senior position executing consulting roles. These roles include: project planning, resource management, scheduling management, and working and meeting client’s commercial and procurement interests as planning consultants. This programme will equip you with the pre-requisite knowledge of project planning, selecting appropriate lean construction methods, advanced financial appraisal methods and construction economics focusing on the trends within construction and using case studies working within and across multidisciplinary teams. You will also explore potential delay-causing factors in order to identify and resolve any issues before they affect the completion date. This course is subject to validation. Assessment method

We use a range of assessment methods throughout the course, which include: Written reports, drawings and phase tests and exams.


Entry requirements

An honours degree (2:2 or above) in a relevant built environment subject such as construction management, quantity surveying and building surveying, construction project management, architectural technology and estate management. Alternatively, we will consider applicants from disciplines unrelated to construction who possess equivalent professional experience.  Minimum English Language entry requirements: IELTS Academic 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any component) or equivalent.
