About the course BA Politics and International Relations at Roehampton explores power, politics and global affairs in an increasingly interconnected world. The course is designed for students who want to understand how political systems operate, how international relationships are formed, and how global challenges such as conflict, inequality and climate change are addressed. You will examine politics from local, national and international perspectives, while developing critical and analytical skills that help you make sense of contemporary political issues. What you’ll study You’ll build a solid foundation in political and international relations theory and analysis, while gaining professional skills valued across public, private and third sector roles, including analysing political institutions and global systems, understanding international power and diplomacy, evaluating political responses to global challenges, and conducting research to support evidence based arguments and decision making. Future opportunities This degree prepares you for a wide range of careers connected to politics, international affairs and public life. We offer a wide range of scholarships for UK undergraduates, including: - The Roehampton Bursary is worth £1,000 for the first year of our undergraduate degree programmes*. It will be awarded automatically to students in receipt of a full maintenance loan, to help with costs such as travel and accommodation. - Academic Excellence Scholarships worth: £3,000 over the course of a degree for students with the equivalent of AAA or above (144+ tariff) at A-level (or equivalent tariff in other qualifications, e.g. BTEC) and £2,000 over the course of a degree for students with the equivalent of AAB at A-level (136-143 tariff) (or equivalent tariff in other qualifications, e.g. BTEC) - esports scholarships, worth £2,000 per year of the degree, available to students who demonstrate aptitude in esports. - Music and Sports Scholarships, available to students who demonstrate excellence in music or sports - Care leaver bursaries, worth £2,000 per year of study to Care Leavers enrolling on Undergraduate programmes at Roehampton, for up to four years of study.
