We will encourage you to explore your creativity as you develop your knowledge and skills. First year is focused on exploring design possibilities. In second year you will apply your knowledge in professionals situations. Your final year will define your direction and signature style. Gain the knowledge and technical skills you need to succeed in interior design. You will start with activities that immerse you in studio work and digital design. This will enhance your drawing, modelling, making, researching and creative thinking abilities. As you progress through the course you will: Respond to briefs and present your own proposals Learn about scale and proportions for interior design Explore materials and processes for interior design Use computer aided design (CAD) for your work. Practical workshops are an essential part of this course. You will learn new skills, develop and apply them to your projects. These projects will get bigger and more complex each year. Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)
For Second Year entry, applicants must have completed the first year of Higher Education in a similar subject with a total of 120 credits. For Third Year entry, applicants must have completed the first and second year of Higher Education in a similar subject with a total of 240 credits. Applicants will need to submit a transcript of their completed study, and offers will be subject to a mapping exercise of modules to ensure an appropriate alignment of course content. Please be aware that transfer applications are subject to availablity of space on the selected academic year of your chosen course.
