Course summary
Our BA (Hons) Music Business & Events degree gives you the skills, experience and connections to lead in the creative industries. Whether you want to manage artists, promote live events, launch your own label or brand, or innovate in digital music spaces, this course will take you there. You'll explore the music and live events industry from every angle – from artist management and live logistics to copyright law, festival planning, branding, and emerging music models. You’ll learn to think like a creative entrepreneur while gaining hands-on experience through real-world projects and industry collaboration. In your first year, you’ll build a solid foundation – understanding the full music ecosystem, developing your identity, and learning how to manage budgets and deliver events. By second year, you’ll be working with artists, developing marketing campaigns, and building your own event from scratch. In your final year, you’ll refine your professional skillset – promoting gigs, leading teams, and analysing new industry trends – all while completing a final research project tailored to your passion. You’ll collaborate across courses and with external partners, gaining insight from Sony Music, Bomb Strikes Records, Utah Saints, and more. Our curriculum is designed with the industry, so you’ll graduate with the exact skills employers (and audiences) are looking for.
