Course summary

This exciting and innovative programme is designed for those who want to take over the management of an existing hospitality business, are aiming for leadership positions and/or want to start a new enterprise. You'll develop the necessary skills required to set-up and manage a successful hospitality business including technical, supervisory and managerial skills and techniques with a specific application to the world of entrepreneurship. Learn how to develop a business through effective communication using a variety of tools; demonstrating strong consumer understanding and a have mind-set that takes measured risks, that perceives and creates opportunities and has the resourcefulness to pursue opportunities in an ethical and sustainable.

Assessment method

Assessment tasks are mainly spread across the year to make the workload manageable. Assessment methods include group works, exams and individual work including essays, presentations, case studies, professional development and practical activities depending on the nature of the course. All grades count towards your module mark. More details will be included in the student handbook and module guides. Year 1 - 100% coursework Year 2 - 95% coursework, 5% examination Year 3 - 80% coursework, 20% practical Feedback is provided within 15 working days in line with UEL's assessment and feedback policy.
