In this integrated master’s programme, the natural fusion of chemistry and mathematics equips you with the advanced analytical, modelling and problem-solving abilities needed to tackle major scientific challenges. You will have the opportunity for advanced individual research, collaborative project work, and the exploration of frontier topics to prepare you for a research-focused career, employment across further scientific study. Designed to provide you with the specialist skills you will need as a professional, modern chemist, our chemistry course also includes dedicated practical and professional development modules to enhance your employability. Your final MChem year places a greater emphasis on your ability to work independently and equips you for a research career. You will be trained in research methods and undertake a research project in an area of your choice, reviewing the relevant research literature to place your work in context.
