Our BSc (Hons) Business Economics with Foundation Year is designed to give you the ideal start to your university journey. The foundation year provides a supportive environment where you’ll develop the essential academic skills needed to succeed at degree level. You’ll build confidence in understanding business and economics, while gaining the tools to progress smoothly into the full honours programme. During the foundation year, you’ll explore introductory concepts in business, economics and management, alongside key skills in communication, problem-solving and data handling. This year is about preparing you for success: strengthening your analytical thinking, improving your academic writing and helping you adapt to university life. Once you progress to the main degree, you’ll deepen your economic understanding and analytical skills to innovate and lead in shaping a sustainable and inclusive global economy. You’ll explore how economic theory and analysis can be used to drive sustainable growth, reduce inequality and promote ethical business practices. By the end of the course, you’ll be ready to lead with confidence, grow businesses in a fair way and bring new ideas to organisations that want to build a stronger and fairer world.

All our undergraduate business courses are available with: • Placement Year - on the placement year option, you will not pay fees to the University and will earn a wage for the work that you do. • Study Abroad – study with one of our partner Universities for a semester or a year. Assessment method

We use different assessment techniques in different modules and try to ensure all assessments reflect the types of work you will do after graduating. This may include portfolio work, presentations and business pitches.
