Course summary

This course has been developed to ensure that health care professionals working in the field of diabetes are educated and informed with the wealth of contemporary theoretical and practical knowledge relating to the management of the condition and its complications.

Assessment method

The Postgraduate Cert Diabetes Care and Management runs part-time over 1 year. Workplace support - The student must have the support of their Manager and work in an appropriate area that is related to diabetes management. The module will use a variety of assessments such as case studies, blogs, presentations and an applied assignment.


How to apply

International applicants

Because this pathway is part-time and requires a current NMC/HCPC registration and access to a clinical environment, this pathway is not suitable for the international market.

Entry requirements

Registration with the NMC/HCPC and proof of employment in an area clinical areas that manages patients with diabetes. IELTS: 6.0 (with no element below 5.5) is required. Admissions to the programme are made on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged. Applications are made using Bangor’s online application system.
