MBA (Level 7) FULL-TIME study pattern: NB. Enrolment points for this programme are September and January Typical delivery modes for MBA full-time students are as follows: STANDARD full-time study to be scheduled over 12 months, divided into 3 semesters of approx. 4 months' duration EXTENDED full-time study to be scheduled over 2 academic years, Part 1 to be delivered over 1 academic year split into 2 semesters. Part 2 to be completed at the end of the 2nd academic year PART I Compulsory modules: Finance for Business Managers (20) Strategic Management (20) Marketing Management (20) Human Resource Management (20) Elective modules examples: (Choose two) Global Business Challenges (20) Intercultural Leadership in an Age of Globalisation (20) Leading & Managing Projects (20) Change & Stability Management (20) Digital Entrepreneurship (20) PART II Dissertation (60) OPTIONAL International Independent Study (60) OPTIONAL Part 1 = 120 credits 4 compulsory modules + 2 electives Part 1 is taught as follows: September starters – September to June January starters – January to January Part 2 The dissertation element is completed as follows: September STANDARD starters – hand in the following September September EXTENDED starters – hand in December or May of 2nd academic year January starters – hand in the following September or December PART-TIME study pattern: The university tries to design flexible timetables that enable students to attend during the evening, day and occasional weekends wherever possible. Typically evening study is scheduled over Monday/Tuesday but subject to change. NB. Enrolment points for this programme are September and January STANDARD part-time study (2 calendar years) – on campus/mixed mode scheduled over 2 calendar years divided into 5 semesters of approx. 4 months' duration (no tuition during summer of year 1). Assessment method
Modules are assessed by coursework. This may take various forms, work-based projects, small research projects, presentations, case study analysis and the dissertation. Students on the full-time programme, or who are not currently in employment, may be able to base their projects on companies from the extensive SBS employer network to provide alternatives to work-based assignments.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be over 21 years old and possess a recognised honours degree (minimum of a 2:2) or a professional qualification.
