Assessment method
The PgDip/MA is assessed through coursework, which includes essays, portfolios of journalism, presentations, and, for MA students, a dissertation or work-based research project. Your contribution to the student-run Kingston Courier website will also be evaluated. The approximate percentage for how you will be assessed on this course is as follows, though depends to some extent on the optional modules you choose: Type of assessment - Coursework: 100 hours The NCTJ diploma is assessed through exams, and some portfolio work.

Entry requirements
We normally expect candidates to have: a 2:1 or above honours degree or equivalent in an essay-writing subject, demonstrating high standards of literacy; and/or evidence of substantial and demonstrable professional commitment to journalism.
