Dance and Performance at The Arden School of Theatre offers a comprehensive programme that explores multiple genres and forms of dance. It is an ideal pathway for those wanting to develop their skills to a professional standard to be able to engage in the constantly evolving entertainment industry. The dance technique training is centred around versatility and delivered by industry professionals. The aim of the programme is to train and support professional dance artists that are skilled, creative, knowledgeable, and employable. The course is fast-paced and heavily practical, encouraging students to explore their individual artistic interests. The Arden School of Theatre utilises its working links with the professional community of Manchester and the North-West in order allow students the opportunity to network and develop. The modules covered in the programme allow our students to become skilled individual performers with a unique identity and artistic vision that responds to the demands of the current dance industry.

First Year Content Commercial Dance, Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Lyrical, Tap, Choreography, Fitness, Anatomy, Acro, Acting, Singing, Contextualizing Dance Practices Second year Content Aerial Dance, Dance repertoire (all styles), Dance Specialism and Dance for Camera, Site Specific Performance, Teaching Dance, Anatomy, Fitness, Theoretical Frameworks Third Year Content Graduate Showcase, Professional Performance (with an external professional dance company), Professional Practice (based on performance analysis or teaching or choreography), Dance Festival, Employability (showreel, CV, tax returns, business planning), Research Project
