The UK’s first cricket-focused degree with an integrated masters, this course will prepare you for a successful career in cricket coaching, management or sport development. This four-year integrated masters course is designed for those who are passionate about cricket and want to make a career out of their love for the game. This unique course, the first of its kind in the UK, combines practical coaching experience with management and development skills, giving you a comprehensive understanding of the cricket industry. Whether you choose the three-year undergraduate route or opt for the integrated masters, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and expertise needed to succeed. You’ll focus on three key areas: coaching, management, and cricket development, and you’ll have the chance to put your learning into practice through work placements and coaching sessions. International placements in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and the USA are available in your third and fourth years, providing valuable global experience. Guest lectures from cricket professionals, including University of Worcester Associate Lecturers Ian Martin (ECB Head of Disability Cricket) and Elliot Wilson (Worcestershire County Cricket Club), give you insights into the latest trends and developments in the game. The course also benefits from strong links with Worcestershire County Cricket Club and the Worcestershire Cricket Foundation, ensuring you’re connected with leading organisations in the field. By the time you graduate, you’ll have developed a broad skill set that can take you into coaching, development, or management roles in cricket. ECB support The course is supported by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Worcestershire County Cricket Club and County Cricket Foundations including Gloucestershire & Worcestershire. Qualification options An Integrated Masters degree is a four year programme which combines undergraduate and postgraduate study into a single course. A BSc (Hons) in Cricket Coaching and Management is an exit award option at the end of year 3. Placements You'll have two cricket focused work placement opportunities in your third or fourth years, these placements can be in the UK or overseas. The opportunity to complete an international placement is subject to a successful interview, appropriate grade profiles at the end of the second year and a relevant VISA to travel.
