Course summary

This degree combines advanced-level learning with management theory and practice – everything you need to make a real impact out in the field. The technical focus of this degree is study of a coherent selection of electrical and electronic engineering subjects to advanced level. Module combinations include communications and signal processing through control engineering to electrical machines and drives. Assessment method

Teaching methods include lectures and seminars supported by practical and lab work. Assessment is a mix of open and closed exams and continuous assessment. Your dissertation will be assessed separately.


Entry requirements

Good second class honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject. IELTS 6.5 or equivalent. If an applicant's 1st language is not English, they may need to provide evidence of their English language ability. If applicants do not yet meet the requirements, the English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help applicants to improve their English to the necessary standard.
