Course summary

Adult nursing is a rewarding and challenging career, enabling you to make a real difference to people's lives. You will work with adults of all ages, who may have one or more long or short-term physical/mental health conditions. These could include: 1. heart disease 2. arthritis 3. dementia 4. diabetes 5. cancer 6. injuries (caused by an accident, for example). As a student studying adult nursing you will achieve a BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) and become registered as an adult nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Applicants are required to complete an enhanced occupational health assessment to ensure that you are occupationally fit to work in the health and social care setting.
