BA Economics with French is a four-year degree run in partnership with the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures. You’ll cover a diverse range of subjects including macroeconomics, microeconomics, mathematics, statistics, economic history, developmental and behavioural economics. You’ll become proficient in French through modules that develop your existing language skills. Tailor your career interests with a wide range of optional modules. You'll spend your third year either studying in France. The perfect opportunity to apply your language and economic skills in a real-world setting. Modules

In your first year, you'll cover the foundations of microeconomics and macroeconomics and choose between econometrics and quantitative economics, depending on your mathematical ability. You'll also complete a full-year module to develop and build your use of the French language. During your second year, you will build on your knowledge of microeconomics and macroeconomics and strengthen your knowledge of either econometric theory or applied econometrics.Two‑thirds of this year will focus on economics, and the remainder will develop your understanding of France as well as your language skills. Subject to you meeting the relevant requirements, you will spend your third year studying in Lille, France. You will get the opportunity to broaden your horizons and enhance your employability by experiencing another culture. Teaching is in French. For your final year you will return to Nottingham. Your economics studies will focus on a dissertation and some optional modules, while you refine your newly fluent language skills in a final language module and your choice from a list of optional modules.

European Baccalaureate - 85% LIBF Diploma in Financial Studies grade A, must be combined with A-Level grades A*A. GCSE requirements - Mathematics grade A (numeric grade 7), unless taking it at A level.
