Our Level 4 Diploma in Lens-Based Media is designed to align closely with industry standards, equipping you with the creative, technical, and organizational skills needed to excel in the field .Through a variety of creative projects, you will gain hands-on experience working both individually and collaboratively. These projects include producing short films, working in a TV studio, and creating promotional videos, all aimed at developing you into a highly employable, modern media professional. Assessment for the course culminates in a Final Major Project, where your final outcome will determine your grade. As a Creative Media student, you will have access to exceptional facilities, including: Seven high-end PC labs A fully equipped TV studio A podcast suite Esports hubs, all featuring industry-standard software You will work with 4K cameras and have access to a wide range of professional equipment, such as lighting rigs, cranes, and dollies, to enhance your projects. A team of experienced industry professionals will guide you throughout your studies. Their expertise spans various fields, including film production, sports journalism, and broadcasting, ensuring you receive valuable insights and support as you develop your skills. Unit 1: Diagnostic Investigation into Creative Practice (this is assessed via a carousel of skills and training culminating in a TV Studio Production). Unit 3: Developing Specialist Practice (This is assessed via undertaking a role on a short film shot on location. Unit 4: Consolidating Practice (this is where you will be assessed via your final major project).
