Course summary
The FdA Film, Media and Photography is an exciting opportunity to study a combination of film, media and photography modules that include the development of higher level skills in areas such as media, film, photography, graphic design and digital content. It is suitable for level 3 students progressing from media, photography or art related programmes. It could also appeal to industry professionals, photographers and/or film makers with an interest in online content provision. The world of media and photography is fast moving and this programme will provide people an opportunity to develop their practical and academic skills. This programme will equip students with an understanding of how to produce still and moving images and the academic and practical skills required to specialise in their chosen field. The programme intends to take a 360 approach to studying media and enable students to go on to find employment for local, national and international media and photographic companies, produce content for websites, tv channels and online magazines. Students who have completed the Foundation Degree have the option to progress to the BA (Hons) Applied Media top up at the University Centre Truro and Penwith to gain a full Bachelor's Degree. Graduates from this course have been known to go on to be: Freelance Photographer, Image Processor, Picture Researcher, Photo Retoucher, Videographer, Film Director, Graphic Designer and an Animation Producer.
