Course summary

Learn how to help athletes recover from injury and design injury prevention programmes for sports teams with our sports therapy degree. Are you interested in helping athletes recover from injury? Or maybe you want to design injury prevention programmes for sports teams? Whether you have ambitions of working within the professional sports environment or running your own clinic, our accredited Sports Therapy degree gives you the skills, knowledge and experience needed to treat and rehabilitate professional and amateur athletes. With sports therapy backgrounds in private practice, professional and semi-professional sport, our lecturers bring practical experience to their academic knowledge. Teaching combines formal lectures with practical laboratory and clinical workshops. As a Sports Therapy student, you’ll be guaranteed a placement, internship or volunteering opportunity to develop real-world skills. We also provide the experience of work under the supervision of The Society of Sports Therapists accredited staff, to deliver treatments in our sports therapy laboratory. On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy Students on our Sports Therapy degrees have worked with: Stoke City FC Port Vale FC Notts County FC Wolverhampton Wanderers FC St George's Park Widnes Vikings
