Combining expertise in data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, data scientists play a crucial role in modern business, where data-driven decision making is increasingly essential. This rapidly growing field is predicted to account for at least a quarter of all digital jobs soon. Data science has been identified as a significant national skills gap, so graduates are in high demand. On our practical, industry-relevant BSc(Hons) Data Science, you’ll learn from a team of experts who are active in research and leading the data science landscape. Benefit from their insight, authority, and professional connections. Through their strong industry links, you’ll have the chance to analyse case studies and real-world examples from employers. You’ll also engage with live projects from real clients through our professional strand. Our Data Science course is accessible to those from diverse backgrounds. Even if you didn’t take A Level Maths, your first year will get you up to speed and give you a strong foundation in statistics. Focused on employability, the course will prepare you for specific career routes as a data analyst, data scientist or data engineer. You’ll graduate with the professional skills needed in a diverse range of organisations.
