Assessment method
Assessment is in accordance with the current Assessment Regulations which operate within the Academic Framework. These are available for students to access via the VLE. It is the student's responsibility to be familiar with and understand these regulations as they apply to all forms of assessment included in the programme. Credit can only be awarded for assessed and demonstrated learning in relation to the learning outcomes of each module of study and the achievement of the standard required for award at each level. The methods of assessment to be used include research and presentation, reports and posters. Students will not be assessed by examination.

For this particular programme, the following will apply: • A Level 4 HNC in Applied Science or equivalent. • Relevant work experience in a science-related field, along with evidence of prior learning. • GCSE English Language and GCSE maths at grade 5 or above, or equivalent Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
