Course summary
The Psychology conversion MSc draws on our research excellence. Our focus on transferable skills means a psychology degree from Liverpool will be suitable for a wide range of career choices. The programme is suitable for graduates with a degree in a subject other than psychology, or a degree in psychology that has not been accredited by the British Psychological Society. Please note that this programme is suitable for intercalating medical students. An application for the BPS accreditation of this programme is being submitted to the British Psychological Society. This programme is centred on the British Psychological Society "Standards for the accreditation of undergraduate, conversion and integrated Master's programmes in psychology, January 2019". Research is embedded in the programme from the beginning, with both core and research-focussed lectures and research-focussed seminars alongside studying research methods and statistics.
Entry requirements
All applicants to the conversion programme must hold a degree; this may include (a) a degree in a subject other than psychology, or (b) a degree in psychology that has not been accredited by the British Psychological Society. Additionally, applicants must have achieved an Upper Second Class Honours (2.1) or above. Applications from international students wishing to undertake the programme will be evaluated to ensure that their qualifications have been gained from a recognised institution, and to ensure that the applicant has achieved the required academic level.
