If your future lies in footcare, this degree will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need for a career in this rewarding and varied profession. This programme will prepare you to enter straight into employment as a Podiatrist, with excellent career opportunities. You will learn how to assess, diagnose and treat people with problems of the feet, ankles and lower limbs. You will get hands-on, practical experience in our excellent clinical facilities in Bishop Auckland and Durham and you will also work on placement in an NHS Trust. You will be allocated a home trust where you will be assigned an NHS placement on a regular basis during the programme. You can benefit from our high staff to student ratio which means that our tutorial support and guided learning is top class. What next? You could enter straight into employment as a Podiatrist or continue studying with a master's degree.

UCAS Tariff - 64 points
You must be able to demonstrate that you meet the minimum entry criteria stated below to be eligible for the next stage of the application process - enquire to discuss your application further. You must hold or be working towards achieving GCSE English Language and Maths, or equivalent Level 2 Functional Skills. You must have a minimum of 64 UCAS tariff points accumulated from any of the following: A-Levels Access to Higher Education Diplomas T-Levels Any relevant Level 3 qualification If you do not hold the above, you may be considered based on the following criteria: Successful completion of an advanced apprenticeship in clinical healthcare, or similar Level 3 apprenticeship A Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in a relevant subject A combination of study modules and relevant job experience or professional practice. If English in not your first language, an IELTS score of over 6.5 is required in all components: Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing. Additional requirements: Five GCSEs grade 4/C or above including English Language, Maths and two science subjects. All offers made for the course are subject to a satisfactory Occupational Health Screening and DBS check.
