Earn your PG Cert (60 credits), PG Dip (120 credits), or full MA (180 credits) in Leadership in Education. If you already have credits from other Level 7 study (e.g. PGCE, PCET, NPQ, or Apprenticeship), apply up to 60 credits towards your Masters in Leadership in Education, reducing the length of study and cost

Assessment method

Due to the practical nature of the course, there are no examinations. We assess you on your coursework for the PG Certificate and PG Diploma modules and on your dissertation for the award of MA. Each module assessment will typically be a single submission portfolio of 5,000 words or equivalent. The dissertation is 14,000 words.


Entry requirements

Accepted Qualifications Bachelor's degree with minimum Second Class (2:2) or equivalent in any subject. All applicants will be required to evidence their interest in education, educational improvement and/or educational leadership in their personal statement. The statement should also reflect on any experience the candidate has had working, volunteering or studying in an education or training context. This might be in the public or private sector, in schools, universities, training institutions or in any education/training capacity. International Qualifications We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications. Please visit our International page for full details. English Language requirements Overall IELTS 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent). If you do not meet the academic English language requirements for your course, you may be eligible to enrol onto a pre-sessional English course. The length of the course will depend on your current level of English and the requirements for your degree programme. We offer a 5-week and an 10-week pre-sessional course.
