Entry requirements
Normally an honours degree in a science or relevant discipline (2:2 or above) or recognised equivalent qualification. For example food science, nutrition, health and wellbeing, exercise science, biological sciences and psychology would all be relevant. Applicants with an honours degree in an alternative discipline and relevant experience will be considered on an individual basis. We will consider enquiries from those who have substantial experience working in relevant positions in the sport and health sector, food industry or in the field of nutrition but do not have the normal entry requirements. These applications will be dealt with in accordance with SHU Recognition of Prior Learning policy. We may invite these potential students for an interview to discuss their particular background, experience and qualifications. If English is not their first language, applicants will need an IELTS score of 6.5 score with a minimum of 6.0 in all skills or equivalent. If the applicant's English language skill is currently below the required level we will consider a Sheffield Hallam University Pre-sessional English course which will enable them to achieve an equivalent score.
