Course summary
Traditionally reserved as a part time course the Higher National Certificate in Construction is now available as a one year full time programme. As a qualification that is recognised by industry full time students would attain the HNC after one year and then be able to gain advanced entry on to the relevant degree subject to grades. This is particularly useful for applicants that wish to gain an industry recognised qualification after one year of study and for applicants who may not meet the full criteria for the BSc (Hons) programmes. Applications may also be considered from those with significant relevant industrial experience.
Modules
• Building services and environmental science • Construction technology and materials • Construction technology and structures • Legal and economic context • Construction practice Plus one option from: • Surveying and setting out • Architectural design and technology • Building surveying and inspection
