Course summary

This course has been designed to prepare graduates and professionals with the skills to launch a career in FinTech or business analytics. Gain industry-relevant expertise in blockchain, digital currencies, big data, AI, machine learning and more. Our practical learning approach allows you to apply coding and analytics skills to real-world problems using live market data via the Bloomberg platform in our state-of-the-art Financial Markets Suite (FMS). You will be taught by academics who are actively researching the FinTech sector and industry experts to ensure your skills are at the forefront of this exciting and evolving area. Located in the heart of London, near the City of London, our program places you in the global financial hub. Developed in collaboration with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, our course provides a comprehensive understanding of the latest financial technologies. Designed with insights from industry professionals and ongoing feedback from our Departmental Employability Board, which includes leaders from Vanguard, JPMorgan, and Global Structured Finance, our program ensures you gain the skills demanded by the industry and are prepared to meet the needs of digitally savvy consumers and dynamic business environments.


Entry requirements

A minimum of a lower second class honours degree (2:2). This degree is designed to enable students from different disciplines to change Careers and enter the Fintech field. Students are expected to have a background in a numerical subject to cope with the high levels of programming and statistics involved. Alternative professional qualifications with at least three years’ relevant professional experience will also be considered. If your first language is not English you should have an overall IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component.
