Course summary
This 1 year BA (Hons) top-up degree course is designed specifically to train, develop, and encourage students who hold a relevant level 5 qualification to a degree level. The course will encourage you to be a creative, technical and versatile dancer and performer, with the ability to reflect on your developmental practice. You will study ballet, jazz and contemporary dance, enabling you to work closely with lecturers and improve your technical skills and understanding. You will also develop and hone your choreographic skills and will be put into real-life scenarios to showcase your work and embark on a journey of extended research through practice with the option of working collaboratively with other disciplines (eg media, music). There will be many exciting workshops and opportunities to work with professional companies and gain real life experience of working in the industry. You will also network with employers throughout the course and create an industry standard portfolio and show reel to enable you to seek employment in the dance sector upon successful completion.
