Course summary

The HNC Engineering (General Engineering) course will provide you with a good grounding in the theory and skills required to support a range of job roles in engineering. The content covers modules both in electronic and mechanical/manufacturing engineering and therefore will provide benefit to students working in multidisciplinary job roles. The course is aimed at Senior Technician level. If you are currently employed in the industry, the course will increase your skills and knowledge to become a more effective practitioner and enhance your promotion prospects. Entry requirements

Qualification requirements

You are required to have a minimum of 2 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths. We will accept Level 2 equivalences for English and Maths in place of GCSEs. We encourage applications from students who do not meet the entry requirements outlined but can demonstrate ability through work experience, portfolio of evidence or successful interview.

If you do not hold a Level 2 English and/or Maths qualification you may be required to undertake an initial assessment to ascertain your current literacy and/or numeracy levels and/or a free writing assessment.
