Statistics plays an essential role in data analytics, healthcare modelling and artificial intelligence. On this accredited degree, you will learn the fundamentals of statistics and data analysis and study advanced techniques in probability and uncertainty modelling. About statistics at the University of Nottingham Our lecturers are experts in data analysis and modelling. You'll learn from them through a combination of lectures, problem classes and tutorials. You will put the statistical and probability theory you've learnt into practice. Working in our computer labs will give you hands-on experience of using statistical software. You can expand your skills even further with a work placement opportunity. Alternatively you may choose to spend time overseas by applying to study for a semester abroad.
