Course summary
Our MSc Financial Management course will help provide you with a strong grounding in the theory and practices of accounting and finance in the corporate sector. The course is part of the CFA Institute as a University Affiliation Programme which helps invest in professionals just like you looking to expand their knowledge whilst reaching professional standards of practice. With this course, you’ll become adept at analysing financial information and adopting an international perspective as you learn more about financial management across different cultures. You’ll develop key professional and research skills as well as an understanding of ethical business practice. The course is broken down into modules such as corporate performance analysis, financial markets and risk management and valuation. At the end of your course, you’ll then do a final research project of your choice; either a dissertation or a business-based project.

Assessment method
For a full Masters degree, you'll study 180 credits over the duration of your course. Some programmes offer a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) qualification or a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) qualification. For a PGDip, you'll study 120 credits, and for a PGCert, you'll study 60 credits. You will develop key professional and research skills, as well as an understanding of ethical business practice. You will also undertake a final research project, which can be either a dissertation or a business-based project.

If you require a Student visa to study or if your first language is not English you will be required to provide acceptable evidence of your English language proficiency level. Entry requirements
The programme is designed for graduates from any discipline with a strong interest in the subject. However, we do recommend that you have a basic knowledge and understanding of this area or business studies. You will have a minimum of a 2:2 Honours degree or international equivalent. In order to ensure our students have a rich learning and student experience, most of our programmes have a mix of domestic and international students. In addition, existing undergraduate students at the University of Hull have a guaranteed ‘Fast Track’ route to any postgraduate programme, subject to meeting the entry criteria.
