Course summary

This is a four-year programme that includes a year of foundational study and leads directly into the degree course. Our foundation year offers the chance to strengthen your skills, knowledge and confidence, before you advance to stage one of your honours degree. Our Business Law and Management degree prepares you for today’s global business environment. With a blend of legal knowledge, hands-on experience, and up-to-date business and management skills, you will learn how modern companies operate, including the important rules and legal structures businesses must follow to succeed. Tackle real business challenges and case studies, to gain valuable practical skills and insights into both the UK and international corporate world. Put legal theory into action in our purpose-built mock courtroom and experience working on real cases at our Free Legal Answers Clinic in collaboration with LawWorks at Cardiff School of Management. Our In-house Law module is first of its kind in the UK and designed with real businesses. You’ll explore the pivotal role of the General Counsel and gain insight into how legal strategy supports and drives business success. Learn how to think like an entrepreneur, explore strategic business opportunities, and make smart, informed decisions through real-world scenarios. You can also choose to specialise in digital marketing or human resource management with our optional modules. Whether you want to manage, advise, consult, or even launch your own business, your legal and practical expertise will be valued across the professional world. We offer this degree with two study options. You can choose four years full-time or five years full-time which would include a one-year industry placement before your final year that will give you hands-on experience in a real-life working environment. This year in industry gives you practical skills that many employers seek, giving you a competitive edge upon graduation.
