Course overview: This course includes a foundation year - ideal if you need additional preparation or if you don't have sufficient grades to join Year 1. Curious about how medicines work and how new treatments are discovered? Get hands-on from day one, combining practical lab sessions with real-world case studies to explore how drugs act in the body, how the body handles them and how safer, better medicines are developed. Learn in our £36.9m Bios facility with advanced teaching labs and a patient-simulation suite for clinically relevant skills. You also have access to specialist equipment at the National Horizons Centre. Explore molecules and cells while gaining clinical and regulatory insights to see how scientific discovery translates into real-world health impact – culminating in a research project of your choice.
