Course summary
If you hold a sports science or coaching-related foundation degree, or an equivalent qualification, this top-up programme allows you to earn a BSc (Hons) degree in just one year. You'll explore performance analysis within a multidisciplinary scientific context, including psychology, strength and conditioning, and applied research. The course is designed to provide you with essential skills, hands-on experiences, and professional networks. From the start, it integrates theory with practical application, keeping you at the forefront of performance analysis. Additionally, you'll complete a placement in areas such as performance analysis, sports coaching, health and fitness, teaching, or sports science support.
Modules
• Year one: Dissertation, Placement, Advanced Strength and Conditioning, Advanced Performance Analysis, and Advanced Topics in Sports Psychology.
Assessment method
Assessment will include coursework, oral presentations, poster presentations, and written and practical exams.

Applicants must have completed a Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching validated by the University of Salford with a minimum of Pass. Applications are also welcome from individuals who have passed a relevant foundation degree (sports coaching science, sports science). The foundation degree must have contained study of sports psychology, research methods, performance analysis and strength and conditioning.
