While studying this course, you will gain a thorough grounding in key areas of business, including management, marketing, strategy, data analysis, and consultancy. You will also learn about essential aspects of law such as company law, employment law, consumer rights, international trade law, competition law, and regulation. You will graduate ready to begin your career journey equipped with all the skills needed in today’s complex business environments. Delivered by experienced academics and practitioners, the course blends theory with practice, equipping you with the analytical, commercial, and regulatory skills needed in today’s complex and varied business environments. Practical experience is embedded throughout the programme, with opportunities to undertake work placements, consultancy projects, and pro bono legal work that build confidence and boost your employability. You will also have access to our specialist resources including our courtroom, legal databases and business software. You will be able to apply classroom learning to real-world challenges, whether managing a “virtual” company, preparing legal advice, or developing business strategies. Your studies will take you beyond the classroom, as you will have the chance to engage with guest speakers, industry experts, and professional networks through events such as the Mansfield Student Law Society and London Met’s ‘Get into Law’ day. These activities, alongside mentoring schemes and careers workshops, provide invaluable connections to industry and the legal profession. Our teaching team includes academics and practitioners with industry expertise, many of whom publish widely and bring current business and legal practice into the classroom.
