Course summary

The BA (Hons) in Sociology and Psychology has been designed to produce informed, active and inspiring graduates who are passionate about understanding and addressing the issues that shape 21st century societies. The joint degree is designed to provide students with a thorough understanding in foundational areas of both sociological and psychological research and analysis. It particularly encourages students to explore synergy effects and cross-disciplinary connections between both subjects, for instance to build a multi-dimensional understanding of how power is exercised and normalised at all levels of society, from the state to individual emotions. The joint degree is designed to enhance students’ breadth and depth of knowledge, academic confidence as well as the range of transferrable and employability skills to allow them to excel in future employment.
