Course summary

Studying Management with Foundation Year (BSc) will enable you to learn a wide range of relevant, highly transferable and sought-after skills. Develop advanced knowledge and skills in a range of business areas with our highly adaptable degree. This course is designed to provide you with access to our main Management or Management with Placement Year degree’s if challenging circumstances mean that you have not been able to meet the standard entry requirements. We are looking for applicants who have the drive and motivation, and ultimately want to progress to a professionally-orientated qualification that is consistently ranked highly in major UK league tables. We will help you to develop valuable skills such as teamwork, presenting, time management, problem solving, decision making, and also build your confidence. During the Foundation Year you will be part of a small community working closely together on group projects. The course also involves working with external organisations to give you a better understanding of how business works. You will complete a project in the third term working with an organisation to identify an issue or challenge. If you successfully complete the Foundation Year, you will automatically join our direct entry students following the course structure for Management or Management with Placement Year. If you choose to study the 5-year course with the integrated placement year you will work in the UK or overseas.

Additional fee information

The tuition fees for years 2-4 of the course are set at the standard University Home tuition fee level. In line with government policy decisions, Home undergraduate tuition fees for the 2025/26 academic year are £9,535. For students who qualify for government-regulated fees (currently students classed as ‘Home’ for fees purposes), the University expects to increase fees in line with any inflationary uplift as determined by the UK Government, if permitted by law or government policy, in the second and subsequent years of your course.
