A Pre-Master's course is an excellent route for international students to take before going on to study a full Master's programme in their specific subject area. This programme offers two routes; one to cater for students wanting to take a Master’s in the area of Business and one for those wishing to undergo a Master’s in the Arts and Humanities. Overall, the programme will equip you for the step up to post-graduate study both in terms of language levels and the other key areas which are vital for success at this level of study in a U.K. university.
Assessment method
Throughout the course your knowledge and skills will be informally assessed through a variety of learning activities. You will be encouraged to engage in self-assessment and may be actively involved in peer assessment. Formally, the course is assessed solely through coursework, including portfolio work, reports, essays and presentations. Each module offers the same proportion of points (20) to contribute to the final award.
Entry requirements
This programme is intended for applicants whose first language is not English. Applicants are expected to have: An undergraduate degree or Higher Diploma, and IELTS 5.5 score overall with no score less than 5.5 in any component. Equivalent qualifications in line with our standard overseas entry requirements may also be considered.
