Spend your first year doing rotations in different laboratories and taking taught modules across a wide range of neuroscience fields, strengthening your research training before choosing a PhD project. This competitive four-year PhD Programme is for you if you wish to deepen your expertise in neuroscience before choosing your primary research focus, or if you’re coming to neuroscience with a background in the psychological or physical sciences. If you’re awarded a place on this PhD Programme, you’ll get full funding. Areas of study We offer research projects in a wide range of areas:

Entry requirements
You’re normally expected to have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above. Your qualification should be in a biological or physical sciences subject area. You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing. IELTS (Academic): Standard level (6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component).
