Find out more at https://www.lancashire.ac.uk/study/block-learning Our Psychology with Counselling degree will help you pursue a career where you can help people understand and work through their problems. The course will explore a range of psychological and counselling approaches, as you develop your own counselling skills. You'll gain excellent observation skills, critical thinking and analysis, plus a range of people skills. You’ll learn about different approaches and techniques to support people dealing with a wide range of mental health issues. This includes bereavement, domestic violence, relationship issues and much more. Why study with us
- Your degree will be taught in short, focused blocks, allowing you to study one module at a time.
- You’ll develop an understanding of psychology, as well as counselling skills.
- You’ll have various opportunities for work experience including volunteering, paid employment or placements.
- While you’ll study core modules in both psychology and counselling, you’ll also have the flexibility to choose optional modules in other areas of psychology.
- You can choose to study abroad or complete a placement year, helping you gain real-world experience.
- In your final year, you’ll take on a research project where you can take an in-depth look at a topic of your choice.
