Study unique computing modules including system administration and programming for business automation, opening new career pathways. Acquire essential skills in animation techniques, storytelling, character design, visual effects, 3D modelling. Skills 1. Foundational Immersion and Skill Development (Level 4): Embark on a captivating journey as you delve into a wide spectrum of production aspects, crafting compelling narratives through animation, visual effects, and visualisation. Along the way, gain valuable insights into the rich history and contemporary practices of animation, equipping yourself for future career routes. 2. Developing Concepts and Pathway Selection (Level 5): Focus on the art of production design and develop the skills needed to properly convey concepts. Navigate your academic journey by selecting one of three distinct pathways: Animation, Modelling, or VFX. From here, cultivate essential scholarly skills, including the fine art of research and critical thinking. These new abilities will guide you as you craft proposals for your Level 6 dissertation, setting the stage for more advanced study. 3. Creating Independently and Major Project Showcase (Level 6): The final year will focus on your chosen pathway for the major project, where you'll have the opportunity to use your creative skills to define themes, concepts, and style. This becomes your canvas, where unique creative visions can be developed into reality. It's the stage where your creative potential and skills shine, allowing you to showcase your mastery in the captivating realm of Animation and Visual Effects. Career opportunities Graduates will be prepared with a variety of creative, innovative, pragmatic, and transferable skills that will prepare for employment opportunities that exist throughout the extensive umbrella of the animation & Visual Effects industry. We schedule our teaching across no more than three days each week. Plus, we'll confirm which days these are well in advance of the start of term, so you can plan ahead.
