Equine Studies at ARU Writtle (formally Writtle University College) - UCAS

Course summary

We are pleased to confirm that Writtle University College and ARU (Anglia Ruskin University) have joined together as of 29 February 2024. Writtle’s full range of Higher and Further Education courses will continue to be delivered on site at the new ARU Writtle campus, enhanced by resources available at nearby ARU Chelmsford If you are starting your course in September 2024, your degree will be awarded by ARU. Find out more about ARU, including our recent Gold rating in the Teaching Excellence Framework, at www.aru.ac.uk The CertHE Equine Studies is a one year full time course. The course will provide students with the opportunity to develop practical management techniques and provide a framework to support students with their personal development. The CertHE Equine Studies follows the same structure and design as the first year of our other HE awards, and as such the modules you would study on this one year course align with the higher level awards (http://writtle.ac.uk/UG-Equine). This would mean that, provided you pass the year successfully, you could continue onto the second year of your chosen award progressing to DipHE level study, and ultimately you could progress onto the 3rd year and gain the full BSc (Hons) award in either Equine Performance and Business Management, Equine Behavioural Science or Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.
