Course summary
A distinctive feature of all the Sport Degrees at York St John University is that they are underpinned by our philosophy (our ‘school of thought’) which is value led and which stresses the importance of social justice. Therefore, on our Sport & Exercise Therapy Degree you will develop a rounded perspective on how to enable athletes to stay healthy both physically and mentally. Colleagues who teach on the Sport & Exercise Therapy Degree have backgrounds in both professional practice and research. Our research in this area includes work on the psychological and social impact of injury. You will have the opportunity to discuss this and other research with our Academic Team to ensure that you learn material at the cutting-edge of sport and exercise therapy. The School of Sport has an extensive and broad network of sports clubs and organisations, enabling students to go on placements, volunteer and conduct research in the real world of sport.
