This MA is designed for graduates who don’t have a law degree. You’ll develop an in-depth knowledge of the English legal system. Course description This masters qualification covers the seven foundations of legal knowledge subjects as well as the skills associated with graduate legal work such as legal research. The seven foundations of legal knowledge subjects are:
- Criminal law
- Equity and trusts
- Law of the European Union
- Contract
- Tort
- Property/land law
- Public law

English language requirements: IELTS 7 (with 6.5 in each component) or University equivalent
Entry requirements
Minimum 2:1 undergraduate honours degree in any subject. We assess each application on the basis of the applicant’s preparation and achievement as a whole. We may accept applicants whose qualifications don’t meet the published entry criteria but have other experience relevant to the course.
