Course summary

This online MSc Psychology is a conversion degree for people ready to move into the field – whether you're aiming to become a Chartered Psychologist or apply psychological insight in your current profession. With a curriculum aligned to the British Psychological Society’s (BPS) requirements, you’ll covers all the core areas of psychology, including cognitive, biological, developmental and social psychology, along with ethics, personality theory, and research methods. You’ll also explore specialist topics such as cyberpsychology and organisational behaviour, before completing an independent research project. Delivered entirely online, you can study full-time or part-time and balance your learning around work, home and life. You choose when to study, how to study, and where to study, with a clear structure to help you stay on track. This programme is currently pending accreditation by the BPS. If approved, it will provide the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) – the essential first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist in the UK.

Entry requirements

As this is a conversion master’s degree – designed for people who didn’t study psychology at undergraduate level – to apply, you’ll need to meet one of the following sets of entry requirements: Option 1: a UK honours degree at 2:2 or above (or equivalent international qualification) in a subject other than psychology. * Option 2: A non-honours degree with clear evidence of independent empirical research experience, such as a dissertation or thesis. *Because this programme is designed as a pathway into psychology, you won’t be eligible if your undergraduate degree is already accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). However, if you’ve studied some psychology before – or hold a non-accredited psychology degree – you can still apply. Every application is different. Additional fee information

We’re proud to offer MSc Psychology degrees for just £7,080. That’s because it's built specifically for online delivery, using a structure that keeps things flexible, practical, and cost-effective. Many of our students cover the cost of their postgraduate degrees using a UK government Master’s Loan (if eligible), and when it comes to paying for your degree, there are 2 different ways – depending on what works best for you: 1. Pay in full upfront: You’ll receive a 15% fee reduction if you pay for your full degree in advance. This must be completed before your start date. 2. Pay per module: This option allows you to spread the cost across your studies, and the amount you’ll pay upfront depends on how you choose to study. Full-time students pay for the first two modules upfront. Part-time students pay for the first module upfront.
