Course summary
In partnership with our School of Science and Engineering and our School of Humanities Social Sciences and Law, you will develop skills, knowledge, and understanding of specialised industry focused engineering and sustainability topics. On the engineering side you will study a number of subjects, including advanced robotics, where you will look at multi-modal sensor integration and human-robot interactions, and advanced manufacturing, where you will investigate modern and smart manufacturing technologies. On the sustainability side you will study a number of subjects, including Just Transition of a Net-Zero Economy; Principles of Sustainability; Climate Change: Processes and Impacts Under the guidance of our academic staff, you will undertake an industrial related project for at least 12 weeks, gaining practical experience and valuable contacts in the industry.
Entry requirements
You should have, or expect to have, a first degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent. You are expected to have achieved a 2:2 honours degree, or an equivalent standard. Relevant work experience is also considered, when a 2:2 degree is not achieved.
