Course summary

This course will develop your professional practice, both as an educator and, in deeper understanding of the practical applications of your learning translated into the workplace, to provide high quality care and professional development to enhance the experience and outcomes of service users. Based within the Institute of Medical Sciences, a centre of excellence for postgraduate medical education and research, you will have access to cutting-edge simulation facilities to aid your learning and development. The generic and comprehensive design of the course supports all students from a wide variety of professions and roles to apply learning to their individual circumstances and develop advanced multi-professional practice. The delivery keeps both the learner and the service-user at the heart of the process, including engagement with contributions from service-users via an innovative collaborative Impact Forum.


Entry requirements

You should normally possess either a relevant degree at 2.2 or above (normally a degree in a health or social science subject), and/or a professional registration to practise in health and/or social care. Please see the module guide for module pre-requisites and co-requisites.

Additional fee information

The fees above are for the 2025/26 academic year but may be subject to change following any announcements by the UK Government (approved by Parliament) regarding maximum Undergraduate tuition fee caps for 2025/26. In addition, the University reserves the right to increase all full-time and part-time Undergraduate tuition fees mid-course, in line with any further inflationary increase in the Government tuition fee cap which is approved by Parliament. The University will publish information about any changes to tuition fees on its website. International Tuition Fees (including EU fees): To be confirmed Undergraduate tuition fees for International students are not subject to the Government’s regulations on maximum tuition fees.
